Blessed are they who make
willing sacrifices in kindness.
Blessed are they who see the star of their souls
as the light that is seen in the port from the sea.
Blessed are they who patiently strive
in the cause of truth and do not weary.
Blessed are the unselfish friends
and they whose motto in life is constancy.
Blessed are they who cover the scars of others
even from their own sight.
Blessed are the innocent who believe and trust.
Blessed are they who hear the call
from the minarets of their hearts.
Blessed are they who fear lest they cause another
the slightest hurt by thought, word, or deed.
Blessed are they who rest in the abode of their souls.
Blessed are the proud in God,
for they shall inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who have found their life’s purpose.
