You mention the difference between the homeopathy crowd and medical doctor crowd...

Here in the US, the medical doctors really need a couple classes on - I don't know, human relations or even, for some, quite frankly, basic social skills!

As an outpatient for ten years, I couldn't help but notice that a lot of doctors here develop really big egos that interfere not only with their relationships with patients, but their ability to perform. In one case, in retrospect, it was very clear that one particular doctor had me misdiagnosed for years longer than I should have been. As soon as I removed myself from his care, other doctors ordered additional testing and immediately came back with findings inconsistent with the rare disease it turned out I didn't have after all.

Well Paul, it is difficult to be a doctor and your experience is probably common to many people who see doctors and I think I am also guilty of such neglect sometimes.
I will relate the case of a lady with numbness and weakness over half her body in my LOH blog , when I have the time..I almost overlooked her symptoms ..because I was tired...

I'd see tiredness - also mistakes, the honest mistakes that are inevitable in any field - as an entirely different matter. (Also problems with the medical system, the circumstances under which doctors have to do their jobs.)

Never obtaining a diagnosis, over a ten period I saw a great many doctors. While this may be subjective, I ended up with the distinct impression that developing a large ego may be something of an occupational hazard for some who enter this profession because of the great deference people pay to doctors on a day to day basis.

I also met some doctors who struck me as wonderful people who were definitely not on that path at all.

feedback on that patient Paul. I sent her to the state hospital with a complete referal. The Medical Specialist wrote off all her symptoms and referred her to the psychiatrist who phoned me and asked my opinion again. Medical specialits had cancelled all investigations but the psychiatrist ordered them again having agreed with me that there was ample evidence for investigation....sigh , yes I can see your point....
